Nurse Katie bio: Katie Alexander graduated from North Central State College with an associate degree in Nursing in 2003. She began working as staff nursing the surgical/trauma ICU. She returned to complete her Bachelor of Nursing at The Ohio State University in 2012. After realizing she wanted a higher level of knowledge and more impact on the care delivery of patients, she completed a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Mount Carmel College of Nursing with a specialization in adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in 2014.
Katie is a Board-certified nurse practitioner with active memberships in The Oncology Society of Nurses, The American Cannabis Nurses Association and The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about advocating for the healthcare and cancer needs of the LGBTQAI population. She currently practices with a team of 11 medical oncologists, 1 gynecology oncologist and 3 other APRN’s at the Mark Zangmeister Cancer Center inColumbus, Ohio.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys baking, gardening, reading and spending time with her husband, two daughters, two dogs, and 9 chickens. Her ultimate retirement goal is to own a donut truck.
